should i replace the strings on my epiphone les paul special with super slinky strings?
just curious because im not sure of the rating on the stock strings.will it make any difference you think?
Sure, the main difference in strings is not the brand but the gauge, and somewhat the material. Smaller gauge means easier to bend notes...better for beginner players, as well as extreme blues benders(!). Thicker strings are harder to bend, but last longer and are arguably better for harder playing, since they have much more sustain. Players also use different gauges on different strings. Serious guitarists should, at some point, train using heavier gauges. It trains the fingers.
