A Picasso painting damaged when a woman lost her balance and fell on the canvas last week will be repaired in time for an exhibition of the artist's works in April, the Metropolitan Museum of Art said Monday. It is time for Thunder In The Smokies spring rally at Maggie Valley, NC. This years event kicks off April 24, 25, 26 at the Maggie Valley Festival Grounds. Come on out and find out why thousands of south eastern bikers roll into The Great Smoky Mountains for the busiest motorcycle weekend of the year. Brian Jackson, the host of Corbin's Ride On, calls it "A world class event." Full Throttle magazine refers to it as "riding in circles."
Find out what Thunder Roads was talking about. Thunder In The Smokies attendies can ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway, to Cherokee, then on to Asheville and back to the rally in Maggie Valley. Every road is a scenic highway. Maggie Valley, NC is a biker friendly town and a great place for bikers to geather for a rally in the valley surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery.
Besides great riding on mountain roads attendies are invited to a full scheduale of bike games. The first place winner will win $500.00. There will also be a bike show with a first place $500.00 winner. Your eyes want believe it when they see these custom bikes.
Two new activities for spring 2009 is Motorcycle Drive In and Motorcycle Trivia For Dollars. Promoters, Chris and Lori will have a 24 foot big screen to show a motorcycle film of your choice. The staff at Handlebar Corral will be giving away dollars for correct answers.
This years concert is headlined by beautiful and talented, Jasmine Cain, Warhorse and Scotty Box. Scotty Box gets things going by hitting the stage from 4:30 to 6:30 Saturday April 25. Following them is Warhorse who rocks between 6:30 to 8:00. Then taking the stage between 8:30 to 10:00 is biker rally favorite, Jasmine Cain.
This years headliner, Jasmine Cain decided to move from South Dakota to Tennessee to pursue a career in music. She met drummer, Brian Hobaugh, while he was playing in a bar band in Deadwood, SD the fall before she left for Tennessee. Jasmine replaced lead guitarist Mike Reeves with Miguel Cancino.
