Guitar Tablature Lesson

How would I play this tablature from The Last Night by skillet.?

I suck at playing the guitar, and I wanna learn. But, for now, I want to learn tablature untill I get some more money to get lessons. But, I want to be able to play "The Last Night" from Skillet.
But, I don't understand the tabs.

How do I play that? You know the first part. Intro Paino then.. Explain on how I would play it. Do I pluck each string, or just downstroke?

First you have to tune your guitar as they have. It's a drop B tuning meaning the overall tuning is three half-tones (or three half-steps or frets) lower to C#. Then they further dropped the 6th or low E string a whole tone more to B from C#.

Then it tells you where to fret each string. 0 is an open string. x means do not play that string and an 8 means to fret that string in the 8th fret. To play three 8 notes that are stacked, you would just lay a finger across those strings (or barre chord).

Just use all down strokes since you're just starting out. You want to make things as simple as possible for your self. If something gets sort of tricky for you and it's stopping you to not be able to finish the song, simplify that part. Maybe play every other note to start and bring in more as you can.
