My acoustic guitar has white pegs and i'm having trouble re-stringing it?
My guitar has little white pegs but do I pull them out to string the guitar or what? I tried pulling the pegs out but i'm afraid that if I pull with too much power then it'll break and there goes my guitar. What should I do?
google for "changing strings on an acoustic guitar" then go to the about.com site and follow the instructions, remember to leave a fret long of string before restringing it at the peg to ensure your string is long enough..
and yes you do pull them out, i used a small screwdriver, the tiny ones you use for your glasses and gently poked around the pegs to loosen them..

Grrrreetings Grateful Dead members, faculty and fans ( Dead Heads!),
On today August 1st 2009, it is I the Great Pumpkin, here to tell you a story, about a Hero of mine. You see Jerry Garcia would have turned 67 today.
No Doubt, you knew this right? (Waiting for Gwen Stefani and her band to wake up and smell the Pumpkin pie!)
Anyways, as I was stating before, Jerome John Garcia, was, is and will always be a Hero of the Great Pumpkin's. That's me again for those of you with ADHE (Acoustic Dead Halloween Experiences). Not many of you know this but Jerry and I go back a long way. Nineteen forty two to be exact. I was a lot younger back then and full of Pumpkin seeds, anyways you don't want to hear about me.
But you may want to hear about this guy in a screen play named Chief Crazy Captain Christo. I happened to look over the shoulder of the author writing this and got a sneak peak for you. In the screen play, Chief Crazy Captain Christo comes up with an awesome plan to bring different people together in the Spirit of Forgiveness. Not the Gloom and Doom fear mongering standing before Jesus
and Satan for the final judgement. No that doesn't cut it in Chief Crazy Captain Christo's World. What the hell would that solve anyway? No, this guy has gone all out and designed a seventy two hundred seat ( handi-capped accessible) outdoor arena based on a VISION. Also, thirteen structures are to be built around the arena to SUPPORT THE VISION. I can't divulge the TRADE SECRETS of the plans but I will tell you there will be plenty of " teachable moments " in the upcoming days.
That is from President Obama's infamous Beer Summit held earlier this week. Yes, the Great Pumpkin follows current events. It's too bad it wasn't Pumpkin Beer. Then, I might have graced the White House Lawn but they didn't invite me! Hmm, imagine that! Not inviting the Great Pumpkin!
Now, I know this might come to a shock to Dead Heads and The Dead members and their families but I the Great Pumpkin know for a fact that the author of this screenplay is scouting around for a Director and he is heading towards one Rob Zombie. So stay tuned, keep jammin, and Happy Be-Lated Birthday Jerry Garcia, a true Hero of the Great Pumpkin. As you may know the story of Sally Brown and Linus Van Pelt let me fill you in on a little secret. At a concert of the Jerry Garcia Electric Band in 1991, in Connecticut, it is rumored that I made an appearance when Jerry played a Clapton tune titled " Lay Down Sally" . That is a false rumour spreading on youtube. I was no
where near there that night but a lot of people said they saw " something" in the sky!
Nope for your information, the Great Pumpkin only hangs out in three states Nebraska, Minnesota and Colorado. My reputation though is everywhere! This is the second installment of The Great Pumpkin Letters.

P.S. ( that's Pumpkin Script for those who still have imagination!) Remember to keep the Great Pumpkin in your prayers. For every August 9th since 1995, has been hard for the Great One. If Pumpkin seeds were tears, Halloween would be the most revered day in the Universe! But the author has also scolded me, the Great Pumpkin, for such actions.
Grieving too long is unhealthy. To which I the Great Pumpkin always shoot back, " Ahhh ... Good Grief! " Where have I heard that one? Play on Jerry! Ninety-nine pumpkins have a chance to go, so you Might as Well Might as Well!
