These days with all the predesigned decorator kits to simplify the decorating process at Christmas time, you may be tempted. Don't! Who wants a tree that looks just like everyone else's Christmas Tree? With just a little imagination and these five steps, your Christmas Tree can be show room magnificent and totally original. Put on the Christmas Carols and let's start decorating!
1 - Make sure your tree is standing straight up and down, in the perfect position. You don't want to have to move it, once it's in place.
2 - String the lights. Make sure they're arranged evenly around the tree and slightly hidden inside the branches. You want lights not wires to show when you turn them on.
3 - Garland - your favorite variety - can be lace, beads, popcorn, jute or gimp, holly berries or cranberries. Whatever you select, be sure you have enough to drape liberally around the tree. Let it hang down between branches to show off the magnificent evergreen shape.
4 - Bulbs and ornaments. These should include a variety of shapes and sizes in whatever theme you selected. Make sure you space them nicely, add some smaller accent pieces and larger selections for drama. Include a few singular spectacular pieces for emphasis and position those pieces for ultimate impact.
5 - Top it off and give it some footing. These are both equally important. A tree without a topper doesn't look complete, and a tree without a skirt just looks under dressed.
