Near Mint

I have 3 Near Mint 1975 rolls of penny's (Read on before you think i'm dumb)?

I received them (by chance) at my local bank whilst doing a change pickup for work.

What I want to know is why would someone collect these and then turn around and exchange them at the bank.
(Obviously a 1975 Penny is worth .01 nevertheless)
Were there any common mint errors this year?
Is there Cu And Zinc Percentage different than any other year
(I also got rolls labeled 1973 and 1980 D the same day but I only held onto the 1975 rolls due to their condition)

I forgot to mention the rolls are Near Mint Condition Possibly VF some might be close to or MU condition

As to why someone would save rolls of modern cents in other than mint state is a good question. It may have been a young collector and they finally figured out that there was no need to do so. The mintage figures are very high and only mint state rolls have any added value. A VF or even AU 1975 cent is worth one cent. All the dates you mentioned are .950 copper, but why save by date if one is trying to horde them.
