Loaded Strat
i need to know more about guitar bridges?
i don't really know much about bridges on guitar but i had a strat with a wammy bar and i liked it. but then i got a schecter and it doesn't have a bridge like that. i want to put one on it and i was thinking about getting a floyd rose bridge because their cheap. i heard that it doesn't actually connect to the guitar, only the strings hold it on. i heard these are really hard to tune. also what does it mean by locking and double locking and things like that. would you prefer this bridge. what would you prefer (i don't want to spend loads of money). on my strat, what is that bridge called (its not hard to tune that one). also, is their a specific type of bridge schecter uses.

Like Russel says, your guitar doesn't support a tremolo bridge. And please, please don't ruin a seemingly nice instrument like this by attaching anything you will need to route out wood for, like Floyd Rose or retrofit Fender type bridges.
You may be able to install a Bigsby. However, you would probably have to modify the bridge, as well as screw the Bigsby to the guitar top ... if it would fit.
The Stetsbar actually seems like something you might be able to install without modifications to the guitar. Haven't tried these myself, but I sure will (thanks Russel!)
If I were you, I would think long and hard before fitting a trem that needs any modification to my guitar. Like DarkBass says, you may end up with a different beast all together. His advice about the Fender style versus Floyd Rose is spot on.
I'd much rather save up for a spare guitar who has the kind of vibrato unit that I was after. Always try before you buy!
